Another platinum for Daniel Padiilla
MANILA, Philippines - Primetime TV prince Daniel Padilla is yet to receive another groundbreaking record for his new album, DJP.
In her Twitter account, TV producer Jinky Fabelico, announced that the limited edition of the DJP album reached the platinum status hours after it was launched on Tuesday at SM North's The Block.
The full DJP album will be officially released on April 19.
As the limited edition of the album was sold out, DJ's fans' tweets trended on the microblogging site with the hashtag #CongratsDanielPadilla
While there have been a lot of cheering in the Twitter world, the current success of Padilla also attracted haters who cast doubt on the young actor’s singing talent.
"It's Showtime" host Vice Ganda, defended his "Sisterakas" co-star from his critics saying that Daniel may not have the best singing voice, but at least he is one of this generation’s fastest-selling record artists.
"Maaring hindi si Daniel ay may pinakamagandang boses sa buong mundo pero isa si Daniel sa pinaka-makakapagbenta ng CD at ng album sa panahong ito," Vice Ganda said in a TV interview.
Padilla will celebrate his 18th birthday through a concert on April 30 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. The concert's seats have also been sold out.
