I've swam since I was a baby. Played tennis and volleyball growing up. I didn't start playing basketball until end of fourth year. I wish I started playing ball sooner!
Most embarrassing moment you experienced while playing a game
Playing at an alumni game, we were down two with 1.2 seconds left. The play was for me to set a pick for our best player. I set my pick and my guard left me to double-team. I was wide open under the basket but was so surprised that my game-tying layup attempt sailed over the basket. It didn't even touch iron. We lost that game.
Aside from sports and games, what are your other hobbies
Immersing myself in movies, music, TV and books are my passions.
What super power would you like to have and use while playing your sport
I've actually dreamed about having the ability to see a couple of seconds into the future -- Dream Girl's power from the Legion of Super Heroes. Think about it: If you knew when your opponent was going to take a shot, you could block it almost every time!

I love all 30 NBA teams equally.
Favorite PBA team
I grew up a Purefoods fan so a part of me still roots for them. However, I have also gotten close to some of the Alaska guys and I cheer for them when they play.
Favorite UAAP team
I went to high school in La Salle (Greenhills) so I do bleed green. However, and it may be blasphemous for me to say this: the 2011 Ateneo team is one of the best Pinoy college teams I have ever seen.
Favorite NCAA team
Admittedly, I don't follow the NCAA as closely but I always root for whoever are the underdogs!
Favorite healthy food
Coke Zero? Kidding! Certain types of sushi are healthy and I love those. I like fruit yoghurt, egg white omelettes and Greek salad.
Favorite sports book
Pacific Rims is up there because being Pinoy, I found it very personal.
Favorite sports movie
Jerry Maguire. Also Bull Durham was my favorite sports movie in college. A League of Their Own was good. Dodgeball and Basketball were funny.

All-time favorite has to be Arnold Schwarzenneger! Shaq is definitely entertaining even if he's just sitting down. At the time, I thought OJ Simpson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar were hilarious in Police Squad and Airplane!, respectively.

Sorry, Game of Life, Clue, Trivial Pursuit and Monopoly are the five most-played board games in my life.
What is your favorite alcohol? Ginebra?
I love Coors Light and Absolut Vodka cranberry. Bailey's if I feel like chilling.
What is your sports motto?
"It ain't over 'til it's over!" by Yogi Berra. Also, Houston Rockets coach Rudy Tomjanovich said this after winning the 1995 NBA Championship: "Don't ever underestimate the heart of a champion!"
Who's your sports hero (alive)?
No one I know has lived up to my high expectations of what a "hero" is supposed to be.
If you could bring back one dead sports legend and talk to him, who would it be?
I would love to talk to Wilt "the Stilt" Chamberlain!
