MANILA, Philippines — Blackwater remains committed to maintaining the Bossing team in the PBA.

Team owner Dioceldo Sy made the assurance in the wake of reports Ever Bilena, the mother company of the Bossing, is beset with alleged tax deficiencies as raised by the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

“Nothing to do with it (PBA) and we haven’t received any documents as of now,” Sy told The STAR.

In a statement, the BIR said it filed charges of tax evasion, perjury and making false records or reports against Ever Bilena before the Department of Justice.

The company, the agency added, is being sued for total tax deficiencies of P9.32 million for taxable years 2018 and 2021. But after a thorough investigation, the alleged liability has ballooned to P1.6 billion.
