Castrillo-Oconer pair paces Alabang’s Mango Tee golf

MANILA, Philippines – JP Castrillo and Joselito Oconer scored 42 and 43 points, respectively, for a team total of 85 points that installed them as the pair to beat in the chase for the overall net plum of the Mango Tee, the member-guest tournament of the Alabang Country Club presented by Petron and Smart.

Castrillo and Oconer also took the upperhand in Class A where they led JB Garcia and Lanz Uy by four points going to the final two days of play. Garcia and Uy, however, jumped ahead in the battle for the low gross plum with their 138.

Mercedes Benz, Mitsubshi, Chevrolet and Toyota cars are all on offer as rewards for aces on designated holes aside from Texas Eagle and Yamaha golf carts and so many other prizes assembled by the host club for the 32nd edition of the prestigious annual competition.

John Ocampo-Nelson Lim, Gene Basa-Sexto Sengson and Paul Martires-Masaru Matsuo will fight it out for the Class B crown after sharing the first day lead with 75s.

Gilbert Joven-Julius Cada and Nanding Ramos-Toto Pelor shared the Class C lead while lawyer Junoy Verano-Pepito Angeles took the top spot in Class D of the tourney which has PLDT, Hanes, Pacific Links, Pepsi, Life Oil, Turf Co., Glenlivet, Mizuno, Food Details, PacSports, Srixon and Stansbury as major sponsors.
