MANILA, Philippines -- Fil-Am swingman Bobby Ray Parks, Jr. scored six points in his second career start but the Texas Legends fell short, 122-131, to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers on Sunday (Manila time) as they ended up their five-game road trip with back-to-back losses.

Parks, Jr. hit his first two shots in the game helping the Legends take an 8-5 lead but the Vipers quickly answered with an 11-0 run and never looked back.

The former two-time UAAP MVP added two steals in 12 minutes of action for the Legends, who were led by Brandon Ashley's 29 points.

Seven players hit in double figures for the Vipers with Raphiael Putney putting up monster numbers of 26 points, 17 rebounds, four assists, two steals and three shot blocks. KJ McDaniels and Donatas Moteijunas, who were assigned by the Houston Rockets to the D-League, also made solid contributions. McDaniels finished with 18 points, 12 boards and four blocks while Motiejunas had 10 points and seven rebounds.

The Legends, who are currently on third spot in the Western Conference with 15-12 record, will return home and host the Iowa Energy on Thursday (Manila time).
