World’s best vie in Fight for Peace

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Twenty-four of the world’s best mixed martial artists have signed up for “Fight for Peace” presented by ClubS which unfolds Oct. 23 at the Resorts World Manila’s Newport Performing Arts Theater.

Promoted by World Team USA in partnership with WulinFeng of China and with TV5 as broadcast partner, the event will be aired live on China Henan TV and is expected to reach no less than 200 million viewers.

The event, promoted by Tony Reyes in partnership with veteran broadcaster Atty. Dong Puno, businesswoman Aby Villanueva and event director Ed Dames, is backed by the Philippine Airlines, Resorts World Manila, Miravana Resort Spa, Vitality Clinic, DTC Promos and Above Beauty.

“We want to do our bit to help promote peace between China and the Philippines,” said Reyes. “So instead of our fighters fighting their fighters, Chinese and Filipino warriors will battle fighters from other countries like Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Australia, Canada and the USA.”

After staging two successful events at the same venue reaching over 100 million televiewers each beginning in 2012, the group is confident that each of their succeeding fight cards can only get better.
