Man held for P7.4 million shabu from Laos
MANILA, Philippines — A man was arrested after he accepted a parcel, which contained more than a kilo of shabu, during a controlled delivery operation in Malolos, Bulacan on Wednesday.
Jonas Faustino, 24, was apprehended at his residence in Barangay Cofradia at around 5 p.m. after he received the illegal drugs worth P7.42 million, the police Drug Enforcement Group said in a statement.
The package, which was shipped by a certain Tanaporn of Laos, was misdeclared as water purifier.
The parcel was found to contain three water purifiers, three silver foils, three rolls of packing tape and the illegal drugs during examination.
Meanwhile, a minor and her adult male friend were apprehended in another controlled delivery operation after accepting P27.6 million worth of shabu.
