Spring fling
Never let it be said that the beginning of the year functions solely as a dry run for the fabulously fun ensembles people are preparing for summer. With the cold front set to remain till February, bikinis will have to stay in the closet for now. We turned to five young designers to clue us in on their key looks for the current season.
Let there be white
Designer: Charina Sarte

New rave
Designer: Joey Samson
Concept: “I think the best way to update your wardrobe is to inject a new color or new shape.” His solution? Bold neon brights and playful proportions. “Try an oversized top with skimpy shorts or vice versa,” he recommends. Joey suggests choosing separates that can easily be integrated into your current wardrobe if you’d like to adopt a new trend. “That kind of Darwinian selection maximizes your options.”
