National Geographic stages 3rd Earth Day Run

-

MANILA, Philippines - The National Geographic Channel once again organized its third annual Earth Day Run at the Bonifacio Global City Grounds in Taguig last April 22.

Thousands of students, professionals, athletes, health buffs and celebrities participated in the 3K, 5K, 10K, and 21K race categories as they pledged to make a cleaner and better planet.

Devant also joined National Geographic’s campaign to Go Green as it presented the environment-friendly features of its LEDTech LCD TVs.

LEDTech is powered by the most efficient, stable and durable lighting system in the TV industry. Unlike ordinary bulbs, LEDs don’t have a filament that will burn out or heat up. They are virtually indestructible and require far less electric power than traditional bulbs.

LEDTech LCD TV’s slim design also means fewer components, less heavy metals, and less packaging so they are easier to recycle and the overall carbon footprint is much reduced.

With all these eco-friendly qualities plus a life expectancy of up to 100,000 hours, LEDTech is a truly “green” choice that’s good for the conscience and the environment, too.

Energy-efficiency is one of LED technology’s most celebrated qualities. Versus conventional TVs, LEDTech LCD TVs run on much lower voltage and consumes as much as 40 percent less power, translating to long-term savings.

LEDTech LCD TVs are manufactured without harmful, non-organic compounds like mercury, a substance known to be toxic to humans and also hazardous to the environment upon disposal. In Europe, the European Directive on the Restriction of Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electronics (RoHS) has mandated that manufacturers must shift to mercury-free LEDs.

The Devant booth showcases the environment-friendly features of LEDTech LCD TVs.

Devant, widely noted for bringing viewing experience to new heights, brings to the forefront its LEDTech LCD TVs, which boast of crystal-clear definition and stunning images. It is the first time in the Philippines that a digital TV already equipped with a built-in ISDB-T receiver is launched.

ISDB-T (Integrated Services Digital Broadcasting-Terrestrial) is the Japanese digital TV standard that the Philippines has chosen for the country’s digital terrestrial broadcast of which all analog TV broadcasting will be converted to and replaced by digital broadcast.

With Devant LEDTech LCD TVs, Filipinos can enjoy the finest high-tech viewing experience and with their built-in receiver, they can now instantly receive digital broadcasts from local TV networks without any set-top or converter boxes.

Devant LEDTech LCD TVs are available in all leading appliance stores nationwide.
