When asked what kind of dishes moms tend to favor at Gerry's, Villaluz shares, "Based on our observation, moms really like our kare-kare. They also enjoy a lot of the soup-based dishes like sinigang na hipon or sinigang na boneless bangus. Veggies are also very popular with moms like pinakbet or chopsuey. Then everyone loves the sisig, crispy pata and inihaw na pusit, you just can't go wrong with those selections."
But if the family is in the mood for something new, Villaluz recommends their current summer coolers. "Guests can enjoy our summer coolers Vanilla Freeze, Strawberry Crystals, Mango's Majic, Choco de banana, Cucumber shake, and Buko melon. All these cool drinks will certainly go well with our Gerry's best sellers."
As for making Mother's Day extra special, Villaluz announces that they will be having a Mother's Day promo starting today, May 12 until Sunday, May 14. During this time, guests can enjoy a special set meal, which is good for a family of five.
"We call it the Queen's Meal and is a complete set with drinks and dessert. Each set is only P1,900 (P380/person) and comes with a bottle of our famous Gerry's bagoong," says Villaluz.
Diners can choose from between two Queen's Meal options: Crispy pata, beef kare-kare, bangus sisig, pinakbet, plain rice, buko pandan and iced tea; or Inihaw na pusit, Gerry's fried chicken, sinigang na hipon, chopsuey, plain rice, buko pandan and iced tea.
It's definitely a treat fit for the queen of the house.
