Ines Delgado: We young people must have faith in our country

SINGLES@WORK - Aurora Diaz-Wilson -
First there is Itsie-Bitsie, the charming boutique that Ines Toda Delgado, 26, opened a year ago. Then there is her work with the Asia Society Foundation, an international agency promoting Asian interest. Yes, this dimpled bachelorette is having a great time dedicating herself to her chosen work.

By day, Ines is planning events that help serve the needs of Asian leaders. Arranging for people to listen to Chief Justice Davide and organizing art exhibits and business lunches are just a few of the affairs which keep Ines happily employed as programs officer. From thinking about what the event of the month will be to finding sponsors and doing the marketing for it, she gets involved in all facets of the society’s programs.

By late afternoon, it’s Itsie-Bitsie’s turn to enjoy the presence of its owner. Selecting the fashionable clothes and accessories for sale in the 30-square-meter store is a task that this lady enjoys. It was a dream of hers to open her Malate shop with exactly the look that it has now.

Ines spent four years at Colorado College in America. She remembers those formative years fondly as she reflects on snow skiing and her fascination with the American pilgrims.
