James Reid surprises newlyweds with performance at Cavite wedding
MANILA, Philippines — James Reid surprised newlyweds Dariz Kho and Emman Pelayo with a special performance during their wedding reception at Ad Meliora Countryside Garden in Amadeo, Cavite.
The singer-songwriter arrived unexpectedly at the celebration and performed songs from his third studio album, “Honey, I'm Home,” which was released on September 10.
His set included the album's title track and “Attention,” giving the couple and their guests a special musical treat on the newlyweds' first night together as husband and wife.
“It's not something I usually get to do, but the timing just lined up this time,” Reid said.
“Hearing Dariz and Emman's story, I was glad I could be a small part of their day. Seeing how happy they were honestly made my night too. I wish them nothing but the best in this next chapter together,” he added.
Dariz expressed her gratitude to Reid for making their wedding celebration more memorable.
“Really grateful to James for doing this,” she said. “Our guests truly loved the experience. They can't stop talking about it!”
Dariz and Emman's love story began at the Camp Aguinaldo Tennis Court, where they shared the same tennis coach. The couple officially became a couple on Jan. 7, 2024, and got engaged on Sept. 29, 2025.
Their wedding followed a Wimbledon-inspired theme, with guests dressed in white and green. The celebration also featured a glass garden pavilion set against the Cavite countryside.
Reid's surprise performance added to the festivities, with songs from “Honey, I'm Home” providing the soundtrack to the couple's celebration.
The album explores the idea of home as a feeling of belonging and connection with the people one chooses to share life with.
