Bela Padilla confirms relationship with tech CEO
MANILA, Philippines — Bela Padilla has confirmed that she is in a relationship with tech entrepreneur and CEO Martin Tan, putting an end to speculation about the nature of their relationship.
In an interview with content creator Johnny K for his Reel series “Meet Cute with Johnny K” on Sunday, September 13, the actress revealed that she and Martin have been together for eight months.
The couple was shopping at the Legazpi Sunday Market in Makati City when Johnny K approached them and asked if they were dating.
“Excuse me, are you guys a couple?” he asked.
“Yes,” Bela replied with a smile.
Asked how they met, Martin said they were introduced by a common friend.
Bela added that they immediately clicked because of their shared interest in movies.
“He said he likes movies, and I love movies also, so I was very, very excited when he started talking about this,” she said.
When Johnny K asked how long they had been together, Bela let Martin answer.
“Eight months,” he said.
Bela smiled and nodded as Martin confirmed the length of their relationship.
Martin was also asked what he likes most about Bela.
“Her brain, and she’s funny and beautiful,” he replied.
Bela, for her part, said she appreciates Martin’s willingness to try new things, including accompanying her to markets early in the morning.
“He’s game to try everything, like going to markets even if it’s early,” she said.
She then added, “What else? He is pogi.”
Bela, however, jokingly refused to elaborate further.
“I don’t wanna say it because people will start DM-ing you,” she said.
Bela and Martin were first linked after they were spotted together at the opening of a pet lifestyle clinic owned by cosmetic doctors Dra. Aivee Aguilar-Teo and Dr. Z Teo in June 2026.
Their latest appearance together marks the first time the two have publicly confirmed that they are a couple.
