Kim Atienza says being a celebrity can save lives

MANILA, Philippines — Kapuso host Kim Atienza believes that being a celebrity can save lives online.
In an interview with the media during his contract signing as Sante Barley endorser, Kim said he always comment on social media when he saw depression posts.
“I know that as a celebrity, one small word can actually save a life, e. ‘Kumusta ka na diyan? OK ka lang?’ Ganun lang yun, ganun lang yun. Madalas akong nagko-comment diyan, e, lalo na sa Threads," he said.
“Sa Threads kasi, very expressive ang mga bata diyan,” he added.
Kim said that he saw a post saying “Mama, Papa, hindi ko na po kaya. Sorry po.”
He then commented: “Watch tiktoclock live next week as my guest? I’ll wait for you ok?”
“Paggising ko kinabukasan, there were 4,800 — not likes, ha — comments. Not only from Filipinos but all over the world offering little acts of kindness," he told the media.
“Nagulat ako. Mamaya nasa balita na, mamaya nasa 24 Oras na. Anong nangyari dito? Just one little comment made such big waves.
“But you can see, a little act of kindness goes a long way… pumunta sa Tiktoclock. So that Wednesday, pumunta sa Tiktoclock. I met him. I met his mom.”
After 15 years of partnership, Kim and Santé International are proving that true collaborations only get stronger with time.
At Kim’s contract signing and presser recently at the Santé Experience Center, the country’s most trusted “Kuya Ng Bayan” officially renewed his role as brand ambassador, reigniting a relationship built on credibility, advocacy, and a shared mission to uplift health and wellness in the Philippines.
More than a renewal, the milestone signals a powerful new chapter.
As Santé moves forward into a more dynamic, global era, Kim steps up not only as a voice for wellness, but as a supporter of the Santé business opportunity that empowers Filipinos and aspiring entrepreneurs worldwide.
“For 15 years, Santé has been part of my life and advocacy,” Kim said. “I’m truly grateful for the trust, the friendship, and the shared purpose we’ve built through the years. Masaya ako na mas mapapalawak pa natin ito by reaching more people, helping more lives, and inspiring more Filipinos to choose wellness every day.”
