Kyline Alcantara shares personal project and styling tips

MANILA, Philippines — Sparkle GMA artist Kyline Alcantara has done charity and community outreach activities. They range from visiting organizations and bringing cheer to kids and youth to gracing galas for a cause and giving relief goods to kababayan affected by volcanic eruptions and strong typhoons.

And with the rising fuel prices, brought about by the US-Iran conflict, it’s not surprising if she has already planned a “personal project” for some drivers who are also directly hit by it.

“It’s like an homage to my lolo na jeepney driver before sa Bicol (my grandfather who was a jeepney driver before in Bicol). Siyempre, gusto kong pumunta lang sa isang fuel station (of course, I just want to go to a fuel station),” said the young actress in a group chat on the sidelines of the KLAD jewelry event where she was a celebrity guest.

As for the assistance she would offer to drivers and the date, Kyline didn’t give any further details. In fact, she had no intention to initially share about the initiative with the print, broadcast and digital media until she was egged on and encouraged.

She also said that she would rather do a charity event than celebrate a birthday party and prioritize her monthly bills. Available online information shows that her previous parties were intimate and spent with people close to her.

Kyline, the beauty with a good heart, also shared some tips to value one’s hard-earned money in times like this.

“Bawas sa paglabas, labas kasi para hindi masyadong magastos (reduce and plan one’s going-out activities and errands to avoid expenses) and also bawas talaga sa lahat ng expenses (cut down really on your expenditures), sa bahay as much as possible sarado lahat, na-unplug lahat ng mga kailangang i-unplug (at home, as much as possible turn off and unplug all the appliances when not in use),” said Kyline, whose smile reveals her friendliness, kindness and confidence.

Speaking of the latter, women pick the appropriate jewelry pieces to show how confident they are and express themselves.

During the event, Kyline wore pieces of jewelry in rose gold. It’s the color that fits her, based on a color analysis she had in Korea. Although women like her have their own collections of jewelry that include rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings, studs have a special spot in the Kapuso star’s heart. Her preference for this kind of earrings is because she finds it “timeless,” and it can be worn anywhere and every day.

As for her jewelry styling tips, Kyline said, “For me, jewelry doesn’t need to overpower you; it just highlights who you are.”

Choosing the jewelry piece to wear, let’s say for a day or an event, depends on her mood, added she.

“Sometimes, I want to wear all white gold, pure gold and rose gold. Sometimes, I mix and match. Depende rin talaga (it really depends on my mood).”

After doing drama in “Shining Inheritance” and “Beauty Empire,” Kyline will be seen next in the action-drama series titled “Task Force: Firewall.” Kylie Padilla, Jak Roberto, Buboy Villar and Miguel Tanfelix are her co-stars in the show.

To play the part and maintain her fit physique, Kyline said she has to dabble in physical activities such as boxing, firing, muay thai and pilates.
