MANILA, Philippines (Updated May 14, 2022, 2:41 p.m.) — Kapuso comedian Michael V penned a poem for upcoming President Bongbong Marcos after partial results showed he’s leading the polls over Vice President Leni Robredo.

On May 9, Michael V gave a hint to netizens that he voted for Leni as president.

Best of luck to our next president… whoever she may be," Michael V posted on Instagram on election day.

Leni is the lone female candidate who ran for the presidency in the 2022 national elections.

In his Instagram account on Friday, Michael V said that he respects the votes of the majority of the Filipinos.

He also said that he has no plans of joining politics because comedy is his forte.

Baka manalo lang ako, hala, naloko na!” he said.

Michael also stated that he will support the Marcos government even though he didn’t vote for him.
