MANILA, Philippines — The boys of BTS again have something to add to their long list of achievements as they landed on Forbes’ “30 under 30 Asia 2018” list.
Forbes wrote on the seven-piece BTS: “If you asked most Americans to name just one Korean performing artist in the last year, odds are high the answer would have been BTS.”
The annual list featured 300 personalities who are “reshaping their industries and changing Asia for the better.”
BTS or Bangtan Sonyeondan or Bullet the Scene brought the catchy beats of K-pop to the American music scene in 2017 when they performed at the American Music Awards in November.
“They’ve also appeared on Ellen and Jimmy Kimmel, leaving a trail of online hysteria and viral clips in their wake from a devout—and constantly growing—fanbase,” Forbes added.
The group was part of the Entertainment and Sports category, the only K-pop group to boot.
Just last Wednesday night, the group gifted its fans with an eight-episode series, through Youtube Red Originals, to give them a glimpse into their hugely successful Wings tour.
Meanwhile, five Filipinos were also featured in the said annual list of the business magazine.
The Forbes “30 under 30 Asia” includes 30 honorees in 10 categories: the arts; entertainment and sports; finance and venture capital; media, marketing and advertising; retail and e-commerce; enterprise technology; industry, manufacturing and energy; healthcare and science; social entrepreneurs; and consumer technology.
