Sunshine Dizon: I choose to move on

Philstar.com

MANILA, Philippines – Sunshine Dizon would like to move on from her marital problem with estranged husband Timothy Tan.

It was last month when Sunshine revealed her separation with Timothy because of his alleged infidelity with a woman named Carissa Sison.

“I choose to move on,” she said about the alleged betrayal of her husband, in an interview before the hearing, as reported by the Philippine Entertainment Portal. “Galit ako sa sitwasyon. Hindi ko rin kayang patawarin ang ginawa sa akin. But I choose to move on because I will not allow that kind of toxic thing in my life to eat me up. I will not allow that.”

Tan has filed a habeas corpus complaint against Sunshine, since the Kapuso actress allows him to talk but not see their two kids.

Sunshine said she’s open to fix things for their children but not for their marriage.

She added that she has already explained the situation to their children.

“It’s a little bit hard to explain to them,” she admitted. “Pero I just explained that ‘Daddy made a mistake and that he has to face the consequence of his action. Of course, they feel sad that this happened.”

As for the annulment that her estranged husband is asking from her, Sunshine said, “I will not do that. I will not go through this if that’s the ultimate goal. No.”

“I’m fighting for my right and they have to face this,” she said.

Sunshine and Timothy have discussed the habeas corpus complaint on Thursday under Judge Cleto Villacorta of Branch 229 of Quezon City Regional Trial Court.

They were supposed to discuss the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children and concubinage complaints filed by Sunshine against Timothy, but it didn’t push through due to lack of time. The hearing was rescheduled to August 10. A gag order was also issued against the former couple. — Joyce Jimenez
