IN PHOTOS: Real-life couples, love teams at Star Magic Ball 2015

MANILA, Philippines - On screen partners Kim Chiu and Xian Lim and "Pangako Sa'Yo" stars Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla are among the standout tandems at the 9th Star Magic Ball in Makati City on Saturday.

Kim was stunning in her backless Pepsi Herrera dress, while Xian was dashing in a Francis Libiran suit.

 

Meanwhile, Kathryn and Daniel proved to be experts on the red carpet. The 19-year-old actress wore a white Michael Cinco dress and the 20-year-old actor came in a black Joey Samson suit.

 

Fresh from the actor's "drunken incident" controversy, Enrique Gil was one of the scene stealers on the red carpet with on screen partner Liza Soberano. But the "Forevermore" love team was stunning just the same with the actor wearing a Pepsi Herrera ensemble and the young actress wearing a gorgeous Michael Cinco gown.

Ejay Falcon and "Pasion de Amor" co-star Ellen Adarna proved to be a surprising pair on the red carpet, with the two insisting they are merely friends.

 

Of course, real life couples also graced the event. 

 

This year, Erich Gonzales and Daniel Matsunaga attended the Star Magic Ball for the first time as a couple. Pokwang also attended the Star Magic Ball with boyfriend Lee O'Brien, their first major showbiz event as a couple.

But perhaps the most adorable tandems at this year's Star Magic Ball are those that aren't romantic (whether real or reel) by nature.

 

Piolo Pascual attended the ball with son Inigo Pascual. This is their first time to attended the annual showbiz event together. Jodi Sta. Maria was also with son Thirdy. 

 

Meanwhile, newly-single Gerald Anderson walked the red carpet with an adorable date--his young niece, Lira.
