Palibhasa is back on Jeepney TV

MANILA, Philippines - One of the most memorable sitcoms in the history of Philippine television is set to make a comeback on Oct. 20 on Jeepney TV, the ultimate throwback channel.

Palibhasa Lalake will air from Mondays to Fridays, bringing a daily dose of nostalgia. Catch the show’s memorable characters once again, played by Richard Gomez, Joey Marquez, John Estrada, Gloria Romero, Amy Perez, Mark Anthony Fernandez, Eric Fructoso, Jomari Yllana, Jao Mapa, Claudine Barretto, Rica Peralejo, G Tongi, Regine Tolentino, Lindsay Custodio and many more.

Aside from the sitcom airing on weeknights at 8 with replays at 11 p.m. and 5:45 a.m., the week’s five consecutive episodes will also have a marathon run on Saturdays at 4 p.m. beginning Oct. 25.

Jeepney TV’s award-winning program, Biyaheng Retro will also feature the show’s stars and unforgettable program moments in a special documentary about the sitcom on Oct. 19, airing at 9 p.m. The sitcom’s stars are also the channel’s icons of the month, with their best dramatic appearances highlighted in Jeepney TV Star Showcase on all Sundays of October at 8 p.m.

Jeepney TV will also throw a special Palibhasa Lalake Basaan Reunion for fans on Oct. 18 at Eastwood Central Plaza. Gates open at 6 p.m. wherein Jeepney TV gives free beers to everyone until supplies last.

The reunion will be hosted by Amy Perez together with DJ ChinaPaps of MOR 101.9. Plus, appearances of Richard, John, Anjo, Jomari and Eric will complete the event. Banana Split mainstay, Jeff Gaitan will also be present. The night also highlights the mash-up live rendition of the man behind Palibhasa Lalake’s OST Katawan, Hagibis producer-songwriter Mike Hanopol.
