For the love of Zeny Zabala

For the 1968 Manila Film Festival, the movie production of Don Narciso G. Isidro (NGI) entered the costume action-epic Mindanao, starring Mario Montenegro, Bernard Belleza and the studio’s premier actress Zeny Zabala.

Filmed in Eastman Color and processed in Tokyo, Mindanao featured the famous Darangan Cultural Dance Troupe of the Mindanao State University.

Mario and Bernard play warriors at odds with each other, both after the love of Zeny, a Muslim princess.

Don Narciso is the grandfather of movie-TV actress and singer Agot Isidro. — RKC
