In 1954, the seeds of determination and rural development were sown by 14 visionary minds led by stalwarts Esteban Lapid, Dr. Felix Coronel, and Jose Carlos, Sr., birthing what is now known as GRBank.

The company’s journey has been of steady ascent, grounded in values of integrity and commitment to rural prosperity, and now stands as among the top 6 rural banks nationwide.

To celebrate its 70th anniversary, the financial institution, its board of directors and executive committee, under the competent leadership of president and CEO Jose Antonio Blas Carlos, COO and SEVP Elizabeth Carlos-Timbol, and SVP Grace Carlos-Glorioso, hosted a wonderful gala held at the Premium Tower Ballroom of Royce Hotel & Casino in Clark Freeport Zone, Clark, Pampanga.

25 trailblazing years in cutaneous surgery

The Philippine Academy of Cutaneous Surgery (PACS) marked its 25th anniversary with the grandeur of its annual convention held at Makati Diamond Residences in Makati City. Themed “OPUS, the Filipino Master: Rejuvenation, Restoration & Surgery,” the convention gathered luminaries from the realms of hair restoration, dermatology, aesthetic and restorative medicine, showcasing innovative procedures and treatment modalities. Led by the indefatigable Dr. Krissy Dim-Jamora and her dedicated team, the event was a testament to the society’s commitment to excellence and continuous learning.

The celebration extended into a fellowship night honoring the pioneering founders, like Dr. Vermen Verallo-Rowell and Dr. Sylvia Jacinto, whose passion has inspired generations of dermatologists. Adding a touch of glamour was DMark Beauty Corporation CEO Nikki Tang, who imparted invaluable wisdom on purposeful leadership. As the night unfolded, bonds were strengthened, memories were forged, and the spirit of community prevailed, reaffirming the enduring legacy of PACS.
