P2M at stake in inaugural Cabal Mobile esports tournament

MANILA, Philippines — Cabal Mobile, one of the biggest massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPG) in the Philippines, is gearing up for its first esports tournament with a prize pool of Php2 million pesos, including in-game items, and the title of first Cabal Nevareth League champion.

Cabal: Heroes of Nevareth is the mobile version of the popular PC MMORPG Cabal. Cabal Mobile was launched last August after going through a server-breaking beta test.

The tournament, aptly called Cabal: Nevareth League 2021, will last for five months and will have three stages of competitions, giving Cabalistas various options to join in the competition.

The first stage to begin this October is the Guild Rank Infinity Tournament (GRIT), in which each cabal Mobile Server will have its top 50 guilds battling it all for the title of GRIT Champion and a prize pool of Php300,000.

By December, the second stage will commence, with the Guild Mission Festival (GMF) once again pitting the top two guilds per server against each other with only one emerging as the GMF champion and taking home the prize pool of Php100,000.

The third stage is the Nevareth District Wars Philippines and Vietnam, in which all guilds level four or higher can take part. Two guilds will emerge as the Nevareth District War champion and rake in Php100,000.

The four champions between the three stages will battle it out in the last leg of the tournament, which will take place in February. The top four teams will compete for a prize pool of Php1 million and the 2021 Cabal Nevareth League crown.

Besides the mentioned cash prize pool, in-game prizes worth Php500,000 will be up for grabs. 

Cabalistas who wish to take part in any of the stages of the tournament must meet the general guild requirements of being ranked four or higher, and having five to eight members composing of five players and three substitutes. All members of participating guild should be level 170 or higher and within a guild, no duplicate of battle classes are allowed.
