Sta. Elena Cup stakes 2 Lexus cars for aces
MANILA, Philippines - Two Lexus cars, a Royal Caribbean Bahamas cruise and premium Omega watches are up for grabs in the Sta. Elena Cup, the member-guest event of the exclusive Sta. Elena Golf Club, teeing off today in Cabuyao, Laguna.
The Lexus IS350 and NX200t are the jackpot prizes for a hole-in-one on the seventh and 14th holes, respectively, with the maximum field of 540 players getting two chances each in the five-day event.
The Bahamas trip, golf carts from Club Car and Yamaha and a Mizuno golf set are also staked as rewards for an ace on other designated holes but will be raffled off in case nobody wins it on the course.
There will be three divisions (Class A, Class B and Class C) to be disputed in the tourney also sponsored by Omega, Lexus, Jewelmer, Rimowa, Baron Travel, Royal Caribbean, Sta. Elena Properties, Mizuno, Champion, Hana, Champion Fab, Systema, Club Car, Yamaha, Chivas Regal, Novellino and Selecta.
Among the notable teams are Bryan Cockrell/Marty Ilagan, Edward Tiu/Jaime Panganiban, brothers Senator Tito/Vic Sotto, Ivan Ferreras/Nico Santiano, Paul Chuatico/Tonton Gutierrez and Sen. JV Ejercito/Kit Dichaves.
The field will be sent off via two shotgun tee-offs, one in the morning and another in the afternoon.
