Long-time PBA fan wins condo
MANILA, Philippines - As in the previous years, the Philippine Basketball Association played Dear Santa this Yuletide season with its most precious gift – a condominium unit courtesy of San Jose Builders – going to a longtime PBA fanatic from Quezon City.
Katrina Basilio, from New Manila, QC, was the lucky winner of the grand raffle draw held during the PLDT MyDSL PBA Philippine Cup Christmas Day double-header at the Mall of Asia Arena.
“I was really eyeing that prize,†said Basilio, who had couples of raffle tickets gained on about 30 PBA play dates she had attended.
To send Christmas cheers to its fans, the PBA also raffled off mobile phones, balls and PBA T-shirts among others.
And as part of the league’s “Alagang PBA†program, a number of players took time out from their hectic schedule to j oin the league’s toy-giving day at the Amoranto Stadium in QC Friday.
