MANILA, Philippines - UAAP Season 76 host Adamson has named Chito Loyzaga as the league commissioner when the basketball season fires off in July this year.

Sources said Adamson, which will take over from National U as Season 76 host, has already appointed the 54-year-old Loyzaga as the new commissioner, replacing Ato Badolato.

“It’s Chito Loyzaga,” a source told The STAR.

Interestingly, Loyzaga has reportedly retained fellow San Beda alumnus Badolato as his deputy commissioner.

Loyzaga, also a former commissioner of the defunct MBA league and a former Brgy. Ginebra stalwart, was part of the national team that snared the silver medal in the 1990 Asian Games in Beijing, China. He was also a former Philippine Sports commissioner.
