-

DAPITAN City, Philippines – The country’s No. 1 junior netter Jeson Patrombon, as expected, dominated the ninth leg of Smart presents HEAD Junior Tennis Satellite Circuit 2011 age-group national tour recently at the Dakak Park and Beach Resort.

Patrombon, 17, displayed the superb experience he learned from various international competitions to score a 6-1, 6-0 win over Elvie Lopez Jr. in the finals to bag the boys’ 18-and-under crown.

He toppled Eric Fernandez in the quarterfinals, 6-0, 6-2, and prevailed against previous leg winners Rogelio Estanio Jr. in the semifinals, 6-2, 4-6, 10-6, of the event supported by Chris Sports, Meralco, Maynilad, Head (the official ball) and Toalson.

“We are very pleased with Jeson’s performance as an athlete. His true dedication in the sport of tennis has made him what he is today,” said Liza Tang, managing director of Head Philippines.

“His perseverance, and natural talent, combined with great coaches and motivational support from his family and patrons have been ingredients in his wins,” said Arleen Lindo, marketing manager of Chris Sports, a big sports and fitness retail chain which is opening its 30th branch in Davao City on May 12.
