MANILA, Philippines — At least 140 inoculation facilities have been opened in Quezon City, the local government announced yesterday as it moved to intensify its vaccination program.

The vaccination sites are spread throughout the city’s six districts and operate daily, according to Mayor Joy Belmonte.

“We are expanding our vaccination program to accommodate the city’s eligible population estimated at 2.8 million, including children aged five to 11,” Belmonte said.

“The figure does not include thousands of non-resident workers who get their COVID jabs in the city,” she added.

The vaccination sites are located in health centers, malls, schools, churches and other venues such as the Smart Araneta Coliseum and Quezon Memorial Circle.

Belmonte said the city government is also conducting vaccinations in government offices, subdivisions, private workspaces and care homes.

City hall also conducts home vaccinations for the bedridden and persons with disabilities as well as drive-through jabs in mall parking lots.

Vaccination sites in malls such as SM North EDSA Skydome, Trinoma, Ayala Fairview Terraces, SM Novaliches and Robinsons Magnolia accept a limited number of walk-ins.

Individuals may register for inoculation through the QC VaxEasy portal www.qceservices.quezoncity.gov.ph/qcvaxeasy.
