‘Go Pink’ at Festival Supermall

MANILA, Philippines - As part of its ‘’Go Pink’’ month-long breast cancer awareness campaign,  Festival Supermall in Alabang, Muntinlupa City offers mallgoers a chance to show their support by purchasing paracord bracelets, keychains, and brooches, available mallwide for the whole month of October.

Paracord is one of the strongest and most versatile materials in the world.  It is used by the military, adventurists, mountaineers, and survivalists due to its durability and simplicity for numerous tactical uses.  Paracords are also used in emergency situations like for splinting a wound, or stopping bleeding, or for crafting aesthetic accessories like a hammock, bracelet, belt, necklace, or even cell phone holders.

A paracord is so strong that a single strand can withstand the weight of a full-grown adult. The strength of the paracord comes from how it is made.  Smaller and thinner ropes are tied together in a helix, and then joined with other bundles to create the paracord. 

The paracord reflects the endurance and strength of breast cancer survivors. And, like the thinner ropes that make the paracord, solidarity is what keeps the awareness of breast cancer strong.

Paracord keychains and bracelets are available at P200 each. Meanwhile, paracord brooches can be purchased at P150.
