Who will be the next Barangay Dance Idol at Riverbanks Center?
MANILA, Philippines - Filipinos are regarded as great musical talents in the world. There is probably not a single family who doesn’t have either a singer or a dancer. That is why Riverbanks Center in Marikina looks forward to discovering more talented dancers through the search for Barangay Dance Idol 2015.
The contest is open to all barangay amateur dance groups with a maximum of eight members. The type of dance to be performed will be the contestants’ own choice, as properly indicated in the registration form. Each group will be given a maximum of five minutes to perform during the elimination round and will be judged according to their choreography/coordination, timing/teamwork, costume, and audience impact. Only the top 10 from the first and second elimination rounds will move on to the grand finals.
The contest will be held at Riverbanks Mall Ivy Lane on March 21 for the first elimination round and April 12 for the second elimination round. The grand finals will be on May 24.
Winning groups will receive P10,000 cash for the first prize, P5,000 for the second prize, and P3,000 for the third prize.
