MANILA, Philippines — Singer-actress Nadine Lustre revealed that her controversial kinky outfit at the recent ABS-CBN Ball was her idea, and that her reel-and-real-life boyfriend James Reid just went with it.
“My outfit was my idea, James just kinda followed the concept,” Nadine told Philstar.com in a recent group interview.
She thinks she and James have the “same wavelength,” which is why they always end up looking coordinated when it comes to outfits.
“I don’t know, it’s just we end up coordinating. Bigla na lang naka-blue jeans and white shirt ako, ganun din s’ya.”
When asked about her reaction to netizens’ comments comparing James’ ball outfit to a backpack, Nadine said: “It’s funny, actually. I think a lot of Filipino netizens have a lot of sense of humor. Even I was laughing at the photo. It’s cool. It’s a really nice outfit!” — Video by Kat Leandicho
