Give me a Tint!?

UPTOWN DOWNTOWN - Joanne Zapanta-Andrada - The Philippine Star

Joanna Preysler-Francisco has always been known not just for her impeccable retail marketing sense but also for her signature style of simple elegance. It is no wonder then that her newest collection embodies the sexiness of a woman while all the time incorporating clean lines and block colors.

Unlike her other store, the stark and urban Carbon (part of a chain of fashion retail outfits owned by Joanna and her husband Raul Francisco), Tint exudes ultra-femininity. “Tint is our easy breezy, luxe resort boutique. It is like walking into a dream closet — caftans in silk, tops that are embellished yet wearable, little throw-on dresses that easily transition from day to night and maxi dresses that make you feel like a million bucks plus the clutches, scarves, and accessories that go with all these!

“Tint is a celebration of color, texture and femininity. It is wearable fashion with a statement — clothes that remain fresh and relevant season after season. One gets a girly, bohemian feel to the outfits,” shares Joanna.

Joanna envisions the Tint client to be one who enjoys fashion and has a strong sense of personal style and is able to embrace her many contradictions. A Tint woman is capable of being glamorous without being pretentious. She is confident without taking herself too seriously and is always well put-together without seeming contrived.

How has Tint grown since its inception nine years ago? Joanna says, “We are continuously evolving, upgrading and rolling out with new things. We are staying true to our luxe bohemian and resort roots, but have fine-tuned our collections to be more embellished, have chosen fabrics that are unique, and have added accessories that are truly special. Our Tint ladies can expect exciting things and more happy times at Tint!”

Joanna says she is a very busy wife, mom and business owner. She is also very much in touch with how she wants her look to be, yet she cannot be consumed by what to wear or how to wear it on a daily basis.

“So I have pieces that work for me, that look good on me, and that I can ‘go-to.’ This is what Tint provides: nice tops that I can wear to work with jeans or capris — and then wear again with nice shorts on the weekend; an easy breezy caftan that I can wear with heels to a cocktail party, yet wear again with flat gold sandals for an evening at a resort; a little dress that I can dress up or down, depending on my mood or the occasion… the possibilities are endless, all my fashion needs are addressed, yet hardly any time is consumed! And don’t forget that Tint has all the scarves and accessories — and I love to accessorize! So Tint is very ‘me’!”

(Tint is located at G/F Greenbelt 3. Tel. nos. 728-2868 and 0917-890-2162. Tint shall open its doors to unveil its new look on May 20. Watch out for it!)
