(UPDATE) Troops nab Abu Sayyaf terrorist in Basilan

MANILA, Philippines (Xinhua) - Philippine troops captured today a member of the terrorist group Abu Sayyaf in the southern Philippine province of Basilan.

A police report said police operatives led by the Task Force Sanlahi arrested the suspect, Abdulla Kallilut, at Riverside village around 8:55 a.m., local time.

Kallilut is facing nine counts of murder, pending before the sala of Isabela City regional trial court judge Leo Jay Principe. He is being detained at a police facility.
