Julia Barretto no longer believes in ideal age for marriage

MANILA, Philippines — Julia Barretto used to think that she would marry at the age of 25, but the late 20s actress remains single after calling it quits with fellow actor Gerald Anderson last year.
The actress opened up about her views on marriage during her guest appearance on Bianca Gonzalez's talk show, “The B Side.”
In the show's “Burning Questions” segment, Gonzalez brought up Julia's previous interview with photographer BJ Pascual, in which the actress said she wanted to get married at 25.
“You had a vlog interview with BJ Pascual long ago where you said your dream age to be married is 25,” Gonzalez recalled.
“I don’t dream about the age anymore, the time it should happen. I just wanna be with the right person. I care more about ending up with the right person than achieving that timeline that I had when I was younger,” Julia said.
“And I’m grateful that it didn’t happen at 25. I wouldn’t have been prepared for such a thing,” she added.
Julia was previously in a relationship with actor Gerald Anderson. Star Magic confirmed their breakup in September 2025.
In a June 2024 interview, Gerald said he was ready to get married and start his own family.
Julia, meanwhile, said in a 2022 interview that she would be willing to accept a marriage proposal from Gerald and leave showbiz for him.
