MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya actress Gela Atayde denied rumors that her sister Ria Atayde is pregnant with her first baby with fiance Zanjoe Marudo.

In a report by ABS-CBN News, Gela said that Ria has been diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).

She, however, said that Ria and Zanjoe have been really wanting to start a family.

“For me I can’t say much yet. For now, no. They’re trying that’s for sure. My sister has PCOS and it would be a miracle if she has a child.

"Well, at least my parents also are supportive for that my sister nga kasi is at the age — turning 32 this year, medyo kailangan na din,” she added.

Gela said that she's happy with her sister Ria's engagement to Zanjoe.

"I love Kuya Z, I was so happy that when they told me, I cried. I love how Kuya Z proposed to her, he just did it in bed, just both of them just woke up so we weren’t there," Gela said.

Last month, the couple have officially announced their engagement.

"Forever sounds good," Ria wrote on Instagram with white heart and ring emojis.

In January last year, Zanjoe admitted his relationship with Ria.

Rumors of romance between Zanjoe and Ria began last year when they were always seen together on various social media posts by their friends.
