Paolo Contis' ex Lian Paz shares cryptic post following actor's admission for lack of child support
MANILA, Philippines — Lian Paz, the estranged ex-wife of Paolo Contis, has appeared to have taken a dig at the actor who recently admitted to not providing child support for their two daughters since their split in 2012.
In a post on her Facebook account last January 30, Lian connected what she had learned from a church service about trials to her own experiences.
"Maraming trials that 'break me' but at the end of the day, just one call upon the name of Jesus and he will equip you to make it through!" Lian wrote. "As you look back, masasabi mo, paano mo nalagpasan yun, but it’s all because God carried you (amid) the storms."
The Facebook post came just a few days after Paolo's interview with television host Boy Abunda was aired where he bluntly said he doesn't provide child support.
Boy asked Paolo about a previous interview Lian had last year about child support, and Paolo had remained silent regarding the issue.

Paolo admitted to his silence then, comparing it to the silence of when he initially broke up with Lian, saying some things are better discussed in person rather than in an interview because he had the wellbeing of their children in mind.
The actor also admitted to having reasons why he does not provide child support, "But I'm saving for them. I'm saving for them that hopefully one day I could (go to) them straight," that while it was a mistake he began he doesn't want it to balloon or be argued over anymore.
These go for his two daughters with Lian, Xonia and Xalene, and to his daughter with actress and ex LJ Reyes named Summer.
Paolo said he had not seen Xonia and Xalene in six to seven years while he hasn't seen Summer in nearly two years though he tries to reach out.
Fighting through tears, Paolo thanked Lian and her fiance John Cabahug for doing a great job with his kids, praising John for his kindness.
In the second part of the interview, which aired the same day Lian made her Facebook post, Paolo and Boy discussed his split with LJ and the confirmation the actor is indeed dating "A Faraway Land" co-star Yen Santos.
