MANILA, Philippines — After a four-year hiatus, K-pop group BIGBANG is back on top after dropping their newest single "Still Life," their first release as a four-man team following Seungri's departure from the group.

Talent agency YG Entertainment said the song is "based on an organic yet warm band sound, with beautiful lyrics on top of timeless melodies."

"Still Life" has topped the iTunes Top Songs charts in 33 regions worldwide, and is topping realtime streaming charts in Korea (Melon), China (QQ Music) and Japan (Line Music).

The music video for their latest song sees Taeyang, Daesung, G-Dragon and T.O.P reflecting on time itself through the seasons, with each individual singing in a particular location surrounded by imagery of either spring, summer, fall and winter.

The four never come together as a group during the entirety of the video, an indication that they are gradually returning after their past encounters.

As of writing the video has garnered 19.6 million views and 2.1 million likes since being released last April 4.

Fans of BIGBANG — V.I.Ps — have been waiting for the groups's return since YG announced the group's comeback last month. The agency had also announced that T.O.P had not renewed his contract with them, but remains a part of BIGBANG.

Their last release was "Flower Road" in 2018 and since then the remaining members have finished their mandatory military service for South Korea.

Ex-member Seungri — whose real name is Lee Seung-hyun — retired from the entertainment industry following his involvement in the "Burning Sun" scandal, where he was convicted of arranging prostitution, among other charges.
