BANGKOK, Thailand— International supermodel and TV host Tyra Banks praised a Filipina’s runway skills anew after she praised Philippines’ bet to Miss Universe 2018, Catriona Gray.

“I mean...Pinoy Power to the Max!!!” Tyra tweeted, referring to Catriona’s recent preliminary show performance.

Tyra was reacting to a tweet of Filipino Twitter user Earle Ceo Abrenica who lauded Catriona for her signature “Lava walk” and famed slow-motion twirl. Earle tagged Tyra saying she’d be proud of Catriona’s performance at the Miss Universe 2018 preliminary competition.

On Thursday, Catriona made buzz online after she slayed in the swimsuit and evening gown segments of the preliminary show.

During her stint at the Miss Universe semi-finals catwalk, Catriona wowed the crowd with a slow-motion turn that flaunted figure, beauty and confidence.

Catriona gushed over Tyra’s reaction.

Catriona is not new to the modeling industry. In September this year, she showed off her catwalk skills at the New York Fashion Week, where she modeled for designer Sherri Hill.

Last year, a Filipina also caught Tyra's attention after she was seen liking former PBB housemate Maymay Entrata’s Instragam photo during her walk at the red carpet of the 2017 Star Magic Ball. She also liked a video of Maymay’s runway performance at the clothing brand’s fashion show in August this year.

Catriona will represent the Philippines at the final competition of Miss Universe 2018 to be held in Impact Arena, Bangkok, Thailand on Monday.
