32 beauties competing for 2018 Miss Manila title

MANILA, Philippines — The City of Manila and MARE Foundation, together with Viva Live, once again teamed up to crown a new Miss Manila with 32 beauties vying for this year’s crown and title.  

The official candidates presented to media on June 19 at the Centennial Hall of Manila Hotel were: Esel Mae Pabillaran, Lux Colleen Brusas, Charlotte Jhiza Beleno, Genesis Durana, Elaine Contreras, Kristi Celyn Banks, Ria Angelique Siozon, Julee Anne Mae Cabrera, Kayla Fajardo, Paulina Labayo, Malka Suaver, Ma. Flordeliza Mabao, Katrina Racelis, Dyan Shane Mag-abo, Leitz Camyl Ang, Therese Marie Marguerette Gaston, Lois Sta. Maria, Maria Lianina Macalino, Nikki Lim Sotelo, Agatha Lei Romero, Sheika Hanna Galang, Christine Roazol, Joanna Day, Angelique Mae Santos, Kathleen Joy Paton, Julie Ann Forbers, Zeta Erin Alegre, Joan Patrice Dulina, Georgette Coronacion, Samantha Elin Coloso, Beatriz Canary Tolentino and Lean Dominique Lalu.

On its fifth consecutive year, the City of Manila is not only looking for a woman of beauty, but also of empowerment, who personifies social awareness, and embodies a true Manileña with grace, passion and optimism.

The winner will be the city’s ambassadress and will participate in different functions and events. She will receive a prize package of P1M (P500,000 cash prize and Viva Management contract worth P500,000).  

The runners-up will take home P350,000 (first), P250,000 (second), P150,000 (third) and P100,000 (fourth).

In celebration of Araw ng Maynila (last Sunday, June 24) under the decree of Mayor Estrada, proceeds from this year’s pageant will benefit MARE Foundation, a non-profit institution headed by chairperson and pageant director, Jackie Ejercito.

The Grand Coronation will be held tonight at the Reception Hall of the PICC (Philippine International Convention Center) with delayed telecast on Sunday, July 1, over ABS-CBN Sunday’s Best.
