A thousand miles with Leo Consul

Leo started his journey to stardom literally on a pair of slippers. In his life story, he recounts how he rose from poverty through sheer guts and talent, proving to all and sundry that, yes, if there’s a will there’s a way.

Did you know that besides Christian Bautista, there’s another Filipino who is a star in Indonesia? He’s none other than Leo Consul who is a big name in Indonesia’s entertainment industry where Leo has starred in a number of teleseryes, hosted variety shows, talent and cooking shows, among others. Leo is among the talents of Asian Artists Agency (AAA, headed by Boy Abunda) which is grooming him for stardom on home ground.

Leo is currently working on a game show called Baper and the upcoming single called Kamu, the Bahasa version of Yeng Constantino’s hit song Ikaw. He has also started his own vlog which he posts on his Facebook page and on YouTube. Leo has vlogged three stories: his travels to Paris, London and Bangkok. “My favorite one is the Bangkok vlog. I’ve been there many times but it was during my recent visit that I decided to make a vlog because I know the city pretty well now and I thought it would be nice to share some of those stuff I know about the city and share the fun!”

“When I turned 12,” narrated Leo, “my stepfather wanted to make me happy by giving me a pair of shoes. It turned out to be a fake one, called Mike. I kept the slippers as souvenir. Now that I can afford it, I have collected more than 40 Nikes.”

“I’m currently doing Intermittent Fasting. I only eat every eight hours but I make sure I rehydrate myself…lots of water between gaps.”

“Apples, lemons and chocolate bars! Hahaha!!!”

Are you vain?

“Does keeping a couple of face masks in the fridge and using them almost every night count as vain? If yes, then I am.”

Favorite part of your body and why?

“My eyes. I often hear people say that they are nice and expressive.”

How do you pamper yourself?

“Plane tickets to somewhere. I love traveling.”

What makes a woman sexy?

“Her brain and her long hair.”

“Intelligent!”
