KC Concepcion keeps mum on Paulo Avelino

MANILA, Philippines – After admitting that they are dating again, KC Concepcion remains mum on Paulo Avelino.

 

“We're good naman,” KC said when asked about Paulo at the sidelines of the press conference of “Ikaw Lamang” on Tuesday,  August 12.

 

The ABS-CBN star said in an interview with entertainment news site Push last July that she is seeing the “Sana Bukas Na Lang Ang Kahapon” actor again, months after reports surfaced that the two have ended their budding romance.

 

Paulo first admitted dating KC late last year.

 

Nonetheless, the 29-year-old actress said she and Paulo are happy they're both doing work on ABS-CBN's primetime block. Paulo stars with Bea Alonzo in “Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon,” while KC is one of the new cast members of the Coco Martin and Kim Chiu soap opera “Ikaw Lamang.”

 

“We're good. We're happy we're both on primetime together. Actually, yun naman talaga ang number one priority namin sa ngayon,” she said.

 

“It's very different, very interesting, very nice to play with,” KC said of her role in “Ikaw Lamang.”

 

KC went to the United States earlier this year, amid rumors that she felt bad for not being chosen to play “Dyesebel” in the TV series that Anne Curtis eventually essayed.

 

She said her role in “Ikaw Lamang” made her decide to stay in the Philippines after studying acting in the United States.

 

“Yung trip ko po to the States, for me, was three years in the making. Parang hinahanapan ko lang ng timing 'yun. And since last July or August, doon ko na-plano na magpapaalam ako to see if pwede and they gave me the go signal,” she said.

 

KC further explained, “Nagkataon na lumabas yung Dyesebel and people were asking me on Twitter... Kasi may lumabas din na publicity na, 'Is she playing Dyesebel?' So hindi rin po sa amin nanggaling 'yung speculation. I just felt the need to clear it up na hindi talaga. Pero ayun, pinalaki na lang nang pinalaki.”
