Nikki Gil: 'Still, no sex before marriage'

MANILA, Philippines- Nikki Gil says she made it clear to her new suitor that there'll be no sex until they get married.

 

In an interview with "Aquino & Abunda Tonight," Tuesday, the Kapamilya actress was asked if she told her non-showbiz suitor about her preference. 

 

"Yes," she quickly replied. ""I think everyone knows and have made fun of it!" she added laughing. 

 

Many believed that this was one of the reasons why her relationship with Billy Crawford ended. Though she said that with this new guy, her views about sex are not a problem at all. 

 

Nikki was also asked to comment on speculations that the new guy she's dating is just a "rebound" after her breakup.

 

""That's unfair," Nikki said about the speculations. "I know myself. I know what I want. Alam ko naman pag... nag-isip ako."

 

Being in showbiz for how many years now, the "Hawak Kamay" star knew such reports will come out, which is why she's being careful in revealing information  about her "exclusive date."

 

She added that "I think people warned him," noting that the guy has a relative in showbiz. She also added that from the beginning " (I)made sure he knew what he was getting into, just dating."

 

Aside from her happy personal life, Nikki's career is also  flourishing as she is working on several projects. One is the primetime TV series "Hawak Kamay" where she stars with Piolo Pascual and Iza Calzado.

 

Another is the musical "The Last Five Years" where she plays a lead role. The musical will begin staging on Fridays and weekends of August, starting on August 9 at RCBC Plaza in Makati.
