Kris Aquino: 'I've been waiting for a sorry'

MANILA, Philippines – Is TV host Kris Aquino still hurt over Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista's TV interview about her?

 

During Wednesday's episode of ABS-CBN's late night talk show “Aquino and Abunda Tonight,” Kris said: “Kasi ito, sa totoo lang, merong nagpa-interview tungkol sa akin several weeks back. I won't name names but you know na. And how I wish he had just said no comment.”

 

Kris further said, “Sana sinabi na, 'No comment kasi nanahimik naman si Kris so mananahimik na rin lang ako.' Sana.” 

 

The statement came while Kris and co-host Boy Abunda were discussing “Pinoy Big Brother All In” contestant Jane Oineza's “no comment” answer when asked by a fellow PBB competitor if she thinks young star Kathryn Bernardo underwent cosmetic surgery.

 

“May pinagdadaanan po ang ating kapatid,” Boy said in response to Kris' statement.

 

To which, the 43-year-old TV host-actress replied: “I'm sorry. Yeah. They'll say, 'Hindi pa siya nakaka-move on.' Tama po, hindi pa talaga, may galit pa ng konti. May galit pa, e.”

 

“Pero pwede kasing mag-no comment e,” she added.

 

Kris also said, “No, ito na lang, kasi I've been waiting for a sorry. A personal sorry. Kasi sinasabi ko, hiniya mo naman ako sa buong publiko. Sana naman, kahit na tayong dalawa lang ang magkaharap, sana nag-sorry ka sa akin.”

It can be recalled that Bautista gave an interview with ABS-CBN's news program “Bandila” earlier this month, where he was asked if he was in a relationship with Kris and why the relationship didn't work out.

 

“Wala na akong magagawa, e.  Hindi na pwede. Hindi na nga pwede,” Bautista said when asked by “Bandila” co-host Karen Davila if he still wants to be with Kris.

 

Asked if he would want to court Kris again, he said, “Hindi na.” “E, yung mga anak ko, syempre. I love my children,” he added.

 

Days after Bautista's “Bandila” interview, Kris said on her Instagram account: “There is peace in keeping quiet kasi nga kagaya ng sinabi ni Boy Abunda, pag mainit pa ang sitwasyon at marami kang nabitawang salita pag kalmado na, pinahirapan mo lang ang sarili mo kasi ang dami mong kailangan walisin at ayusin.”
