Journey of Faith

For two weeks, from March 30 to April 13, Sen. Bong Revilla and his wife, Cavite Rep. Lani Mercado, and their children Bryan, Loudette and Ram, went with 182 other pilgrims that visited holy places in Egypt and Israel. Also with the group were Dr. Vicki Belo and her good friend Hayden Kho who had a chance to make peace with Sen. Bong.

Riding in four buses during the tour, the pilgrims did Bible-reading along the way. Lani said that, among other places, most memorable were the Wailing Wall, the Jordan River (where Jesus Christ was baptized by John the Baptist), the Dead Sea and the Sea of Galilee (where Jesus walked on water).

The pilgrims came back on April 13 which happens to be Lani’s birthday. In flight, the group sang Happy Birthday to her.
