Showbiz couples’ secret of happy relationship

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - What do celebrity couples Anthony and Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan, Paolo and Suzi Entrata-Abrera and Lander and Regine Tolentino-Vera Perez have in common? They have withstood challenges in their marriage and are still going strong.

The three couples shared some secrets on how they have maintained a lasting and satisfying relationship through the years. In the launch of the Commit to Control PE advocacy for couples held recently at the Marquee Hall of Edsa Shangri-La Manila, the pairs lend their two cents on the topic of premature ejaculation (PE), which is considered to be the most common sexual dysfunction in men.

Anthony, a management trainer, motivational speaker and productivity consultant, and Maricel, an award-winning actress and newspaper columnist, shared their valuable insights and experiences to enlighten other couples about how important it is to address the issue, which sometimes tends to be a topic that most couples do not talk about.

Both hosting a morning show, Paolo and Suzi are two busy people. But they make sure to spend time doing things together and discussing topics they believe can help their relationship grow.

Lander and Regine provided testimonials to help thresh out some issues related to the sensitive topic of PE. Having gone through a rough patch in their relationship, Lander and Regine know how important it is for couples to discuss issues in their marriage.

Dr. Margie Holmes gave expert opinions on the topic. She definitely knows what she’s talking about as she has 16 books to her name, with Life, Love, Lust selling 21,000 copies in its first year alone. Dr. Holmes was joined by Dr. Dennis Serrano, associate professor of Surgery and chief of the Division of Urology at the University of the Philippines-College of Medicine at the Philippine General Hospital.

“According to our study, 20 percent of relationships and marriages breaks down because of PE, a dysfunction suffered by one out of three men. Menarini aspires to inspire and encourage men to take action against this disorder because there is an effective solution coming soon,” says Menarini Philippines managing director Dr. Cai de Quiroz.
