Julia is 18 but says she’s ‘not open to it’

DIRECT LINE - Boy Abunda - The Philippine Star

Julia Montes made her comeback on primetime TV via ABS-CBN teleserye Muling Buksan ang Puso. Joining her in the Kapamilya series are Enchong Dee, Enrique Gil, Cherie Gil, Dominic Ochoa, Matt Evans, Daniel Fernando, Jestoni Alarcon, Jane Oineza, Dante Rivero, Pilar Pilapil, Agot Isidro and Ms. Susan Roces.

Now that Enchong and Julia are working together in Muling Buksan ang Puso, many people are asking if there’s a possible reconciliation between them. It’s now out in the open that they had a romantic relationship before. Will there be a second chance in love for these two young stars? Let’s wait and see.

Julia’s role in the new series is different from her previous character as Katerina in Walang Hanggan. According to an article on ABS-CBNnews.com, Julia described her role, “Young ang makikita ng tao. Maybe ABS-CBN wants to remind viewers that I’m just 18.”

Throughout the years, we have seen how Julia evolved into a fine young actress that she is today. Before getting her big breaks in Walang Hanggan and Mara Clara, she has starred in ABS-CBN teleseryes Ligaw na Bulaklak and Hiram.

Julia admitted that she is not yet ready to do intimate scenes although she is now 18 years old. “I can’t say I’m super open to it. But if you ask me, if it can be avoided, I will avoid it. I’m super young pa.” But if the love and kissing scenes cannot be avoided, Julia will give it a serious thought. “If it’s really necessary, if it can improve the show, then maybe… Maybe, I can do it. But not soon. It’s also going to give me a different kind of pressure,” she said.

Muling Buksan Ang Puso is directed by Manny Palo and Nuel Crisostomo Naval.

Rekindling lost love

Speaking about rekindling lost love, Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco are back in each other’s arms. Melai recently admitted on KrisTV that they have reconciled last month. Melason (the moniker given to their love team) proves that love is lovelier the second time around.

The couple met when they were housemates of Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Double Up where Melai emerged as the Big Winner and Jason was a third placer. Their comic tandem gained massive following while they were inside the PBB house. Their constant bickerings inside the house turned into real-life romance when they left the Bahay ni Kuya. They even starred in their own show titled Melason in Love.

Unfortunately, Melason broke up last year due to some misunderstandings. It was alleged that they parted ways because of a third party.

Jason did not give up on love. He tried his best to win Melai back. Finally, his patience and determination paid off.

Now that they are together again, can we see them in another project? Melai revealed that Jason is planning to work abroad after his fracas with John Prats. “I still don’t know what will happen. But whether he plans to go abroad or not, it’s still up to him if ever. Pero depende pa. As of now, wala pa.”

Meanwhile, Melai is regularly seen on Banana Nite.
