Party with Kamikazee at Cowboy Grill
MANILA, Philippines - Kamikazee is composed of Jay Contreras, Jomal Linao, Led Tuyay, Puto Astete and Bords Burdeos (photo). Before the band members signed up with a major label, they went by the name Kamikazee Cornflakes (eventually shortened to its current name as Kamikazee). Their early shows included renditions of the songs Mmm Sarap, Tsinelas, Ariel Rivera’s Sana Kahit Minsan and Britney Spears’ Lucky.
In 2005, the band released Chiksilog as part of the compilation album Rok On! And a year after, it released its second album, Maharot. The carrier single of the album was Narda, which gained heavy airplays on radio. It was used as a soundtrack for GMA 7’s primetime show Darna which starred Marian Rivera in the title role.
