Zeny Zabala's first starring role

In the ’50s and ’60s, Zeny Zabala played contravida roles in Sampaguita movies along with Bella Flores and Rebecca del Rio.

When Zeny freelanced, NGI signed her up and elevated her to stardom in Ruby, a love drama.

Ruby, Zeny’s first starring role, was followed by, among others, Kalinga and Our Lady of Peñafrancia.

The actress is semi-retired, appearing every now and then in mother roles.
