Carla Guevara's banner year
MANILA, Philippines - 2011 was a banner year for ABS-CBN Star Magic talent Carla Guevara who played the roles of Sour Kangaroo in Repertory Philippines’ production of Seussical and Sister Berthe in Resort World Manila’s Sound of Music.
She also appeared as featured performer in the Inner Wheel Club of Manila’s benefit show, A Night of Music and Laughter at the Teatrino, Greenhills.
Before the staging of the three mentioned productions, Carla had a singing performance at the wedding reception of Malaysia’s Royal couple Tunku Muzafar Shah and Sharifah Eliza where she performed memorable musical numbers from hit Broadway shows.
Earlier, Carla was also part of Rent and Breakups and Breakdowns.
This year, Carla will remain in the cast of Sound of Music’s extended run until March.
She is slated to join the cast of You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown and Nine The Musical at the RCBC Theater.
An accomplished TV, movie, theater talent, Carla’s crowning glory so far was her performance as Gigi and Kim in the acclaimed-musical production of Miss Saigon at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London from 1995 up to 1997.
