So who will ‘rule’ the Earth?

The 2007 Miss Earth pageant will be held tomorrow night, Nov. 11, at the UP Theater, to be aired by ABS-CBN starting at 9 o’clock (with a delayed telecast in Starworld Asia), with 88 beauties in competition, making the contest the biggest in terms of number.

As usual, Funfare’s “beauty experts” Felix Manuel, Joey Cezeare, Gery Yumping and Francis Calubaquib are reminding beauty-contest enthusiasts to play the spectator sport called “picking out the lookalikes” — you know, several candidates are deadringers for showbiz stars and former beauty queens, including Nancy Castiglione, Collette Centeno, Carla Humphries, Ana Roces, Snooky Serna, Joey Mead, Elizabeth Oropesa, Rachel Anne Go, Dawn Zulueta, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Jenny Syquia, Mariah Carey, Beyoncé Knowles, Elizabeth Hurley, Eva Mendes, Rachel Weisz, Marcia Cross, Jennifer Lopez, Minnie Driver, Anna Kournikova, Nicole Kidman, Britney Spears, Priscilla Meirelles (Miss Earth 2004), Lupita Jones (1991 Miss Universe) and Natalie Glebova (2005 Miss Universe).

Again, the “beauty experts” have listed “The 20 Most Likely” (to make it to the semis and/or to win the crown). Here they are (at random):

 • BRAZIL — Patricia Andrade Silva Ferreira (23, 5’11”, 35-25-37, 128 lbs.), a Public Administration student and top model in her country.

 • VENEZUELA — Silvana Santaella Arellano (23, 5’9”, 36-24-36, 117 lbs.), a half-Italian/half-Venezuelan graduating dentistry student from the Central University of Caracas; and 2005 Miss Italia Nel Mondo (succeeded by the Philippines’ Mara Morelli the following year).

 • PERU — Odilia Pamela Garcia Pineda (20, 5’11”, 37-25-37, 136 lbs.), third runner-up in 2006 Miss Peru-Universe contest, finalist in the 2006 Miss Maja Mundial contest, semi-finalist in the 2007 Miss Spain contest and finalist in the 2007 Miss Elite Model Spain search.  

 • KOREA — Yoo Jee Eun (22, 5’8”, 35-24-34, 105 lbs.), dubbed as “Asia’s Hope” to win the Miss Earth title, a Theater Arts student and a gifted singer/dancer. 

 • INDIA — Pooja Chitgopekar (22, 5’9”, 32-24-36, 121lbs.), a model and medical student based in New Zealand, was 2002 Miss India-New Zealand and 2003 Miss India Worldwide 2003 first runner-up.

 • SLOVAKIA — Barbora Palovicova (26, 5’9”, 34-24-34, 125 lbs.).

 • POLAND — Barbara Tatara (20, 5’9”, 33-24-35, 125 lbs.), a student and model, looks like Catherine Zeta-Jones. 

 • PHILIPPINES — Jeanne Angeles Harn (25, 5’7”, 33-24-34, 110 lbs.), an account executive for an advertising agency and a popular commercial and print model. 

 • SPAIN — Angela Gomez Duran (22, 5’9”, 35-24-36, 120 lbs.), an aspiring actress and a top model.

 • U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS — Je’taime Chere’e Cerge (23, 5’7”, 33-24-35, 103 lbs.), her country’s representative in the 2006 Miss Universe pageant.

 • COLOMBIA — Mileth Johana Lopez Agamez (22, 5’8”, 34-24-36, 125 lbs.), a model/actress who was a finalist in the Miss Colombia -Universe search. 

 • GEORGIA — Nana Mamasasakhlisi (20, 5’9”, 34-24-36, 116 lbs.), a  professional model, Linguistics student at the University of Georgia and the reigning Miss Bikini Georgia. 

 • UKRAINE — Galyna Andryeeva  (26, 5’9”, 34-24-34, 125 lbs.), a model-dancer, Economics student and holder of the several titles (2007 Miss Odessa, 2007 Vize Miss Ukraine and 2007 Donbass Open). 

 • ROMANIA — Alina Gheorghe (23, 5’8”, 35-24-36, 130 lbs.), a model and actress.

 • MEXICO — Ma. Fernanda Canovas Leal (21, 5’10”, 35-24-35, 128 lbs.), a Business Administration senior at the Universidad de Monterrey.

 • CANADA — Jessica Nicole Domingo Trisko (22, 5’10”, 35-26-37, 135 lbs.), half-Filipina/half-Canadian, a Political Science student in Montreal and a semi-finalist in the 2007 Miss Universe-Canada pageant. 

 • ECUADOR — Veronica Ochoa Crespo (21, 5’10”, 35-25-37, 128 lbs.), a social work director, a model and 2006 Reina Bolivarian. 

 • VIETNAM — Truong Tri Truc Diem (20, 5’6”, 33-23-35, 105 lbs.), a professional model and sophomore at a Singapore University, adjudged Best Model in Advertising and Miss Styfeel both in 2006, and Miss Photogenic at the 2005 Miss Vietnam-Universe pageant. 

 • GUATEMALA — Jessica Scheel Noyola (18, 5’7”, 35-25-37, 112 lbs.), one of the youngest delegates in the pageant, an accomplished TV host and wants to be an actress.

 • USA — Lisa Marie Forbes (26, 5’11”, 34-26-37, 130 lbs.), a  Communication Studies graduate from the University of Kansas and currently co-owns a pageant/prom boutique (Crown Chic) in Shawnee, Kansas.
